Going To The Other Side

He said to them, “Let us go over to the other side.”

On that same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us go over to the other side (of the Sea of Galilee).” So leaving the crowd, they took Him with them, just as He was, in the boat. And a fierce windstorm began to blow and waves were breaking over the boat so that it was already being swamped. But Jesus was in the stern asleep on the cushion. And they woke Him and said, “Teacher, do you not care that we are about to die?” And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still!” And the wind died down and there was a great calm. Jesus said to them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith and confidence?” Mark 4:35-40

Jesus has called us to get in the boat and go to the other side. Each of us has an assignment. The process to the other side will bring storms, but in the process and storms we can be at peace just as He was. We have been given all power and authority to speak to the storms….”In the name of Jesus….” Our confidence is knowing He called us, and just as He called us, He is with us in the boat as we make our way to our assignment.

Do not believe the lie that your assignment is over. If you are reading this, you are alive, so you still have an assignment. He isn’t finished with you yet. Stay in the boat and move to the other side.

Raise The Rod Of God

Many battles are fought and won by intercession, raise the rod of God! We often take the fight into our own strength, our own strategies, rather than lifting up our hands in intercession and letting the Lord make war on our enemies. How many of us intercede in prayer until we are exhausted and keep going. I would say most have no idea as to what that is like. Yet that is how battles are fought and won.

Intercede until you are weary, tired, and exhausted, with no words to say. Then begin to allow your spirit to go into intercession, pray in your prayer language and push it through. I have watched for years as I have seen my wife do this time and time again. Crying out in the mid-watch when others are sleeping and resting. Praying in tongues till all she could do was lay prostrate before a Holy God on the floor of her prayer room. She has seen many victories, heard many answers, and given many revelations. That is a warrior! I am learning, that is a true helpmate, I am thankful.

Take Action

“Then came Amalek [descendants of Esau] and fought with Israel at Rephidim. And Moses said to Joshua, Choose us out men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand. So Joshua did as Moses said and fought with Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the hilltop. When Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and when he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy and grew weary. So [the other men] took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Then Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side and one on the other side; so his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua mowed down and disabled Amalek and his people with the sword.”

Do What’s Right Not What’s Easy

Maybe you have heard it said, “do what’s right, not what’s easy.” As a police officer, I had a Lieutenant that would tell us, “don’t just come to me with a problem, bring me a solution… at the very least options.” For some time now I had heard and read from the people of faith their frustration, and that they’re disgusted with social media. The censorship of our beliefs, the interpretation of our scripture as hate speech, and the moral decay on social media platforms. Christians would threaten to leave and many have left the social media platforms however many continue to support the system. I recently write an article, “Share your faith not your personal data!”

It is very true that social platforms know more about your fellowship, and you than you do yourself. They are tracking everything about you, your friends, family, church family, where you frequent, where you spend your money, and more. They sell your information to marketing companies that pay them top dollar for that information. We know, Integrity Resource Solution is a sister company that provides the financial assets to develop, build, and operate inJesus. Many companies advertising budgets, purchase social media ad space, and spend a lot of money. They make a lot of money with your information. So they censor what you share, censor your faith, your beliefs, your Jesus yet make billions of our information.

“don’t just come to me with a problem, bring me a solution… at the very least options.”

What’s the solution?

Remember, “don’t just come with a problem… bring a solution!” Is simply leaving social media, losing contact with those your love, those you encourage and do ministry with, those as “Iron Sharpens Iron” post daily what the Lord is saying? For me, I have ministry partners around the world in just about every nation. If I leave social media altogether I lose relationships with them. To pray for them, to encourage them, they encourage me. John 10:10, “the thief came to steal, kill, and destroy…” Steal and silence our voice, kill our relationships, destroy our fellowship and the body of Christ.” He loves nothing more than to fragment the church, to stop our communication with one another, and to steal our voice.

After acquiring inJesus in June of this year we went into prayer. Seeking God for guidance in how to steward what was once the largest Christian community in the world. He said very clearly, “be the solution!” Very clearly we knew what was to be done, had visions and dreams as to what it would look like, and we have the intellectual knowledge, the skills, and gifts, He would provide and orchestrate the project… and HE did.

What is your part?

We cannot do this without you. We are the body of Christ and every member serves a vital part of the body. You have a choice. We all may be a little different, worship a little different, and have varying theologies and interpretations but yet love the same Jesus and serve the same God. Join us!

Share Your Faith Not Your Personal Data

Do you ever find it very strange that you and your wife discuss your lawn and landscaping or something even crazier, you discuss great feeding [you’re newly 60 years old… done having children] and the next ad on your Facebook account is an ad for a breast pump! META – Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram track everything about you, your children, your spouse, relatives, and friends. They track social groups, where they gather and frequent, where you shop and spend your money and all this information is sold to marketers.

It’s never been a secret—Facebook collects huge amounts of data on you. Just look on the App Store at the amount of data included on Apple’s privacy labels, which show how much the social network tracks you as you use your iPhone. Among the information gathered by Facebook is your browsing history, location, and search history—things many people would like to keep private. Sure, you can try and limit the amount of data Facebook collects, but it doesn’t change the company’s ethos. Excerpt taken from Forbes Magazine read the full article here.

He Directs Us!

“The steps of a (good and righteous) man are directed and established by the Lord, and He delights in his way (and blesses his path).” -Psalm 37:23

When we fear the Lord, are obedient to Him, then we are righteous. He directs us and always makes a way for His righteous ones. When we then choose that path, the one He has chosen for us, He delights in us. He gives us more of His blessings. I know for certain, that what God has planned for me is so much more than I could ever do for myself. No amount of money that I can come up with will amount to the blessings He has for me. I want more!

Have You Found Yourself Fighting Your Battle Alone?

When we feel this way, more than likely we have “taken back” our burden and are trying to carry it by ourselves. It will wear us down and take us out completely. The enemy wants you isolated and feeling alone. Then he can overtake you in your mind, will, and emotions.

God’s word will never fail us!! His word is Truth, His word is Faithful, and His Word is full of promises. But first of all, we have to give all of our burdens to Him, then we will see His faithfulness, His truth, and His promises. He wants us to trust Him completely, no matter how large or how small the problem is. Tell Him you can’t handle it, He has to take it, and watch to see what He does. But don’t take it back and don’t get discouraged if you don’t see immediate results. Remember Hebrews 12:2 “… He is the author and finisher of our faith.” There is something He needs to finish in you. Don’t give up, don’t give in to the enemy’s tactics. Hold on and enjoy the ride!

Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (easy-that which is useful, pleasant, good comfortable, suitable, and serviceable)

He is comfortable. Just put yourself in His arms and fall back and relax, rest. He is there supporting you, lifting you up. He will fight your battle for you. Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold (be quiet) your peace. He’s telling you to be still, be quiet, rest. Let Him do the work for you.

Rest in His peace tonight. Tomorrow is a new day…joy comes in the morning.

God’s Way Is Always Better

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts……So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me void, (useless, without result), without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” -Isaiah 55:8-11

We can let go of any situation, knowing God’s way is ALWAYS better than our way…ALWAYS. In His way, He has already spoken it, and when we let Him have his way, He will accomplish what He has spoken forth. His desires for you will come to pass, and they will be greater than your own desires. When you let go, you can reach for “the more”. If you’re holding on, you can’t take what He’s giving you.
