Raise The Rod Of God

Many battles are fought and won by intercession, raise the rod of God! We often take the fight into our own strength, our own strategies, rather than lifting up our hands in intercession and letting the Lord make war on our enemies. How many of us intercede in prayer until we are exhausted and keep going. I would say most have no idea as to what that is like. Yet that is how battles are fought and won.

Intercede until you are weary, tired, and exhausted, with no words to say. Then begin to allow your spirit to go into intercession, pray in your prayer language and push it through. I have watched for years as I have seen my wife do this time and time again. Crying out in the mid-watch when others are sleeping and resting. Praying in tongues till all she could do was lay prostrate before a Holy God on the floor of her prayer room. She has seen many victories, heard many answers, and given many revelations. That is a warrior! I am learning, that is a true helpmate, I am thankful.

“Then came Amalek [descendants of Esau] and fought with Israel at Rephidim. And Moses said to Joshua, Choose us out men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand. So Joshua did as Moses said and fought with Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the hilltop. When Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and when he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy and grew weary. So [the other men] took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Then Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side and one on the other side; so his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua mowed down and disabled Amalek and his people with the sword.”

Have You Found Yourself Fighting Your Battle Alone?

When we feel this way, more than likely we have “taken back” our burden and are trying to carry it by ourselves. It will wear us down and take us out completely. The enemy wants you isolated and feeling alone. Then he can overtake you in your mind, will, and emotions.

God’s word will never fail us!! His word is Truth, His word is Faithful, and His Word is full of promises. But first of all, we have to give all of our burdens to Him, then we will see His faithfulness, His truth, and His promises. He wants us to trust Him completely, no matter how large or how small the problem is. Tell Him you can’t handle it, He has to take it, and watch to see what He does. But don’t take it back and don’t get discouraged if you don’t see immediate results. Remember Hebrews 12:2 “… He is the author and finisher of our faith.” There is something He needs to finish in you. Don’t give up, don’t give in to the enemy’s tactics. Hold on and enjoy the ride!

Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (easy-that which is useful, pleasant, good comfortable, suitable, and serviceable)

He is comfortable. Just put yourself in His arms and fall back and relax, rest. He is there supporting you, lifting you up. He will fight your battle for you. Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold (be quiet) your peace. He’s telling you to be still, be quiet, rest. Let Him do the work for you.

Rest in His peace tonight. Tomorrow is a new day…joy comes in the morning.
