This verse presupposes that the light in us is sometimes saying, "let me out!!"
So the question then becomes, "what is it that stops or impedes our light from shining? The beginning of the very next verse gives us a clue..."Do not think....."
Friends our thoughts will either release or withhold our light from shining.
