Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have been Elisha? This week I've been reading in 1 & 2 Kings. I've been reading about Elijah and Elisha. Have you ever wanted that double portion? I do. I'm always seeking that double portion.
So what do we do to get that double portion? We have to become Elisha's. Most people ask to be like Elijah. I want to be like Elisha. Why? His faithfulness and loyalty to God and...

Yesterday I cried. I was blind-sided or maybe, sucker-punched by a movie, which was rated pg-13, so I assumed it was safe to watch. In this movie I saw the last couple of years of my marriage played out. I suppose I should have turned it off when he told her he'd been unfaithful and wanted a divorce, but I didn't. I stayed through the mediation, the divorce, her seeing him with the other woman and her friend trying...

Wow!!!! It's been a long time since I've been able to sit down and write to you guys. Paula has sent several messages out for me. As many of you know, I'm currently without internet service. The only place I'm able to check anything is at work and I can only do that on lunch break.
But, God has allowed me to be in a place tonight where I can share some things with you. Number one, some of you...

Psa 115:4-9 God is higher than anything and anyone,
outshining everything you can see in the skies.
Who can compare with God, our God,
so majestically enthroned,
Surveying his magnificent
heavens and earth?
He picks up the poor from out of the dirt,
rescues the wretched who've been thrown out with the trash,
Seats them among the honored guests,
a place of honor among the brightest and best.
He gives childless couples a family,
gives them joy as the parents...

It does occur to me that we, are more sensitive to the things around us when our loved ones are prodigal or just being ornery. Today, I spoke with a friend who is seeing the world through hurt, so whatever he hears or reads effects his entire world. Standing isn't easy & Satan isn't an easy...

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

Malachi chapter 3 speaks to us about how the LORD will rebuke the devourer on our behalf. As I write this to you, Lisa Bevere is talking about how people should be relentless is keeping the marriage covenant together.
It doesn't cause grief anymore to hear these things, nor does it cause me to replay the "what-ifs" cd of my broken-ness. It cuses me to focus on this ministry to you. I am seeking to be relentless in pointing...

New Mercies!
I sit here today with a joy in my heart that has been often neglected and more often ignored, but never absent. Joy is a fruit of the spirit, which dwells in the heart of those who allow Holy Spirit to plant and cultivate.
I recall how Elijah mocked the false prophets and their god, simply because he knew the God he served. The scripture never said that they returned the gesture.
Ever notice that no one came against...

It has been a long time since I've posted. I hear the words of a fellow stander ringing in my head as she admonished me to minister - in obedience to the call on my life.
As I sit here in front of the computer a million things run through my head. I am surrounded by many who are believing the LORD for restoration in some area of their lives.
Meanwhile, things in my corner of the world seems to have...

Last night, Denise called me. This isn't anything odd or out of the ordinary. It was the conversation that God still holds in my heart. See, yesterday was her and Scott's wedding anniversary. They celebrated. I won't go into it all, except to say that Denise had decided to move the anniversary date. She'd done so because she associated it with pain, the pain of betrayal. She'd moved it to the day Scott put his wedding ring back on....

and made my way to a quiet place. The kids downstairs watching television, dinner almost done...I was searching for a "word" from God. As I began to pray for divine "enlightenment". I heard in my spirit "so you don't talk to me all day and now I'm supposed to just respond?" I muttered an apology and opened the bible. Job 3 - yes Job was complaining. Okay, am there, doing that...I smiled - this is what I sound like. I...

As I type this, Evan & "God" are doing the dance beneath the tree. I'm referring to the movie of course...it causes me to cry each time I see it. Too long of a story to tell here.
This morning I want to direct you to read the proverbial woman e-letter posting. Some of you get both, so I decided to not repost it to this forum. Just know that trust is the word for today. Trust him today for...
