We got a call from Indonesia and were told several papers have a story about our team on their front page, talking about how we came in disguise as humanitarian workers but our real goal was to convert people from Islam.

I asked the flight attendant if she knew what was wrong and she told me the woman was on her way to Jakarta to see her dying grandmother but had just gotten word her grandmother had died. She kept crying. I walked...

Posted Oct 23rd 2009, 05:22 by Streetwise Ministry on Evangelism/Missions

I'm sure you have read some of the exciting reports that Bobby has sent from Jakarta. He has shared some pretty heart-breaking stories with me.
They met some little boys that live on the streets yesterday morning. Bill Henderson spread peanut butter on some pancakes and folded them over and gave them to these precious children. He told them to come to church that night and bring friends and they would receive a gift. Nine little boys showed up at church...

Beyond The Wire

Posted Sep 24th 2009, 02:14 by Streetwise Ministry on Evangelism/Missions

Dear Streetwise Family,
I was hanging out recently with a young pastor who had bravely served a tour of duty in Iraq. I am always amazed and humbled by these courageous young men and women who lay their lives down in service to our country. We all owe them a debt of gratitude.
As we were chatting, I discovered a term I had never heard before... "Beyond The Wire." Since then, I have also heard it refered to as "outside the wire."
See, inside...
