Priluki has a population of about 80,000 and is known as the "Drug Capital of Ukraine," because of its vast poppy fields and opium trade. City officials were scrambling to find answers to the drug problem. That is until the RHM missionaries came and gave evidence to a living...

Sri Lanka Trip a Huge Success!

Posted Dec 9th 2003, 12:00 by Russian Harvest Ministries on Evangelism/Missions

Sri Lanka Trip Update!
We mentioned in the last newsletter that I (Peter) would be traveling to the nation of Sri Lanka to be part of a team conducting a youth camp and evangelism outreaches. Over 200 youth gathered for four days of Holy Ghost meetings. Sixteen churches were represented there. During this time about ten gave their hearts to Jesus and thirty-seven were Baptized in the Holy Spirit. Many responded to the call to full time...

Posted Nov 26th 2003, 03:37 by Russian Harvest Ministries on Evangelism/Missions

A few days ago I sent out a prayer request for one of our pastors in Ukraine who was diagnosed with cancer. Here is the rest of the story from Natasha Lazuka, one of our overseas directors.
I have a great news -- ALENA WAS HEALED! When she went to the hospital and they told her she has a tumor she went back home to get $300.00 for the surgery she needed to remove it. When she came back to...

Posted Nov 19th 2003, 11:23 by Russian Harvest Ministries on Evangelism/Missions

I wish to thank all who have been praying for us and our missionaries in Ukraine. As you know the government has been coming against us hard: arrests, intimidation tactics on our missionaries, interogations, etc.
I just wanted to update you since I have not as of late. We have not heard anything from the religious department for two weeks. We do not know what they are up too. In the mean time several of our...

Urgent Prayer Request!

Posted Oct 20th 2003, 04:07 by Russian Harvest Ministries on Evangelism/Missions

I was just contacted by our Ukraine office that the KGB is coming down hard on our ministry with an attempt to shut us down completely. They are beginning with threats against our pastors: one of whom just called in and was in tears...they really put it to him and he is basically in shock. We need Go to intervene. Please pray. God bless,
Peter Mehl

Prayer Request!

Posted Oct 15th 2003, 03:49 by Russian Harvest Ministries on Evangelism/Missions

More pressure from the KGB is coming. Our overseer was brought in last Friday and questioned for two hours. Now Natasha sent me this email:
"We just found out today that we had visitors from KGB for the last 3 Sunday services! Also that guy asked a bunch of questions the director of the Dom Kulturi where we rent a hall. Many questions were about the services, about money and about Vova. I don't feel safe! We have no...
